Marc Sparks on Life: The Power of Passion

One of the things in life that I’m passionate about is, well, passion itself. Passion is one of the key drivers of success.

The Marc Sparks Definition of Passion

What do I mean by passion?  It’s an attitude. Having passion about what you are doing screams volumes about your sincerity  toward what you want, your goals.  Your body language, eye contact and verbal intensity toward your subject is what matters most … facts are important but PASSION  IS PURE GOLD!

Why Marc Sparks Hires Passionate People

Think about it this way. Let’s say I’m interviewing two young men for a financial job with one of my companies. Both young men have an impressive educational background, but maybe one of them has more experience doing finance than the other. However, the one with less experience clearly has more passion. He listens, he leans forward in his seat and has an open, eager posture.  This is someone who wants the job and is ready to hit the ground running. You’ll know it when you see it.  Passion radiates from his pores.  This is who I’d hire, and you should too, because passion is a powerful motivator and driver. He’s going to get things done. He’s going to inspire and lead others to get things done.

Marc Sparks’ Passions

One of my passions is building companies. It’s what I do best. I’m a born builder who loves to create magical and wonderful businesses from scratch—no office, no staff at first, and sometimes over the years, no capital.

The Marc Sparks mission statement is:

… Faith, Passion, Tenacity,

Focus, Monetization,

Outrageous Sense of Urgency

No matter how much you prepare, study or organize, and know your facts, it is always PASSION that persuades others–whether you’re trying to sell something, prove a point, or persuade others to take a certain business direction. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not always the smartest guy in the room. In fact, I like to hire and partner with people who are much smarter than I am. But, every success I’ve earned I attribute to having PASSION and intuition. The two can often go hand-in-hand. In fact, intuition is often as important as the facts. Listen to your heart earnestly and the passion will come out.

So, what drives you? What are you passionate about?
